There have been some issues with getting web page URLs to work in these ASC discussions
and some work OK, others don't. Some require extra effort and at times, I will paste the page
address that is not working here into a Search engine such as duckduckgo to see the results.

Following, provided me a working URL to article you were looking at. I checked back to there
(visited their site before, did not bookmark) by using the search engine method for good URL.

That may be of some help in presenting your idea. A few other pages from Apple Support
such as About Batteries, Troubleshooting Power Adapters, reset SMC, reset NVRAM, etc.
All of which may help when dealing with the power systems in a portable intel-based Apple.
The issue of the blinking light on the power adapter may point to the MagSafe DC-in Board
that supports the adapter and completes the final connection within the MacBook. This part
could be defective or the electrical contact pins may not be making a good connection.

And should an expert be required, consider (as available) the services of an Apple Store genius
and/or the services of an Apple Authorized service provider; expert technical advice may require
a customary fee for the shop service time when a repair involved labor plus parts.
Hopefully you can resolve the issues; for an inside look you could go to iFixit.com repair guide
site and look at pictures with text about how certain items can be repaired by replacing parts.
