Q: Can’t find my scans on my MacBook Air

I have a MacBook air after scanning I look for place to enter I name. Don't find one go ahead and complete the scan. But I can never find it

If you are using Image Capture after the scanner warms up and you click Show Details in lower right the screen on the right side included a location when the scan will be saved and the next line down is the file name which by default is scan.

You can change both the folder location and file name. You have to change/select them before you scan. You can't change them after the scan except by change the file name and location of any file using Finder
