- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

May 22, 2015 3:55 PM in response to pravin729by pappyxyz,★HelpfulThis same exact thing happened to me, my iPod 5th gen has a jammed home button. Last night, I went to bed after setting a notification and woke up in the morning. I clicked the power button (not jammed) and nothing happened. It wouldnt charge. And holding power wouldnt work either. Also, the screen is cracked. How can I fix it? (If possible)

Jul 9, 2016 1:45 AM in response to gmanren95by ChuckNorris101,Everyone, I have the same issue and i have the SOLUTION
I also have a broken home button and it never seems to turn on no matter how many times I click on the power button or charging it. For those who are reading IIIaass's answer but cannot follow his steps due to your home button please listen to me. Watch this video, it might sound crazy but it worked!! Freezing your ipod/iphone drains the battery and plugging it back in afterwards seems to bring it back to life. Spread the word!!
