Q: Iphone Activation

Hi,i am having a iphone 4s which bought from US. Its a network locked phone. Iam now in India and i was using the phone without sim card .I was able to use whatsapp, facebook app without any problem. And the phone is running in IOS 9.2

When IOS 9.3 released I updated the phone via OTA. After the updation i was not able to activate the phone its asking for inserting SIM card.

Please help me. Any ways without unlocking the network

IF you know the carrier to whom the phone was locked to - you can get a SIM of that carrier - it does not have to be a new one even a used one will do - among other sources you can look on E Bay
Once you have the SIM - use it to activate the phone - you should be on your way
