Q: Where did photobook theme go?

I'm creating a new photo book and in choosing the theme, the "photobook" theme is gone.  All of the other themes do not allow for as many photos per page.  Plus, we all know how hard it is to even know what the theme looks like.  Hopefully Apple will fix this and add descriptions to the themes so it isn't so difficult.  Anybody know if this theme went away or if somehow it is just hidden on my end???

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Not sure what you mean the theme is gone - Nothing is "gone" since Photos is totally new program and what it has is what it has - nothing is gone, in fact a lot has been added over the last year + with about 8 new releases and upgrades

 

Léonie has summarized the Photos themes which may help you find a theme you want - ad note that the first time you use one it can take a while (hour or more sometimes) to download

There is no "Photobook" theme - the Picture Book theme sound close to what you want and the portfolio theme can have even more photos per page

    TThx.  I meant photo book theme and for some reason this is no longer listed as an option when I go to create a book.  I ended up copying a previous book where I used that theme and then cleared it out so I could do a new one.  Still don't know why it won't show me that Theme.

    when you try to change the theme to the left of the word "cancel" is there a spinning wheel? Most likely themes are still being downloaded so you do not yet see all of them - it appears to me that theme download only occurs while you have the select theme window open
