Using your card account in the UK via Apple Pay will still incur any charges (levied by your bank / issuer) that would apply if you were instead using the payment card directly.
For example: if your bank normally charges foreign exchange fees on overseas transactions, then these will still apply if you pay via Apple Pay. Fees can vary by issuer and also by payment card.
Be sure to advise your card issuer of your travel plans. Your card account may otherwise be restricted and transactions declined when you try to use it in the UK, including via Apple Pay.
