Q: Boot Camp Installation not working
Ok so i'm running Mac OSX running El Capitan, Model: 2011 Mid
I got myself a windows installation disc and i went to run bootcamp with the disc inside.
I went through the simple stuff e.g. selecting how much space windows and mac gets of the hard drive then bootcamp restarts my mac and opens into windows.
The windows is just set up where i pick language time zone then it asks me to pick one of 2 options. One is normal and the other is advance.
The advance option shows me 4 hard drives and to select one and i tried all of them but it said it none of them could be used so i went back to option one.
This option just went to a page telling me what to do next:
It pretty much said remove the disc. Which i couldn't do and took me some googling to realise i had to restart my computer holding down Mouse 1.
After that the disc ejected and i restarted again and it went to the black screen that said "no bootable device insert boot disk mac"
So i put my disc back in and wait a while and nothing happens.
I again restart my mac now holding down Option so i can select what drive my mac boots into. I can see windows as one of them and so i try again and the exact same result. Giving up I just restarted again and went back to normal Mac OSX. Though looking at my Utilities Windows still has the 50 GB i gave it and every time i turn of on my mac not holding Option it'll go to the "no bootable device insert boot disk mac."
