Q: iPhone 6s Plus not getting 4G LTE in certain areas

Do you have a bulky case, or some other device near the iPhone? Perhaps you keep an electronically transmitting car key near the iPhone? Think about the environment around where the iPhone might process the signal.

No carrier updates. I've actually been searching for a way to force a carrier update but have not come up with anything on that front yet. I have also tried reseating the SIM card and cleaned the contacts.

May 6, 2016 10:26 PMby sberman,Like you, I'm with AT&T. My current carrier setting is also 24.1. I receive 4G LTE fine consistently (in a metropolitan area). So I believe the software (carrier update) is just fine.
I found this article on AT&T's website. Did you buy your iPhone through Apple (or AT&T) or someplace else? Consider where the SIM card originated -- did it come fresh with the iPhone, or did you bring it over from someplace else (a previous phone)?
