Q: Time to erase & Install? Safari slow, thermo error messages Plus more

I have been having difficulty with Safari and odd error messages for months, but it has become worse. Safari is slow to open at times, and it will stall out when I click on  link on a web page. When it stalls out for a while, the messages about keychain show up repeatedly along with a message about the window. I have been unable to pinpoint the keychain message anywhere. Today is the first time I have seen Thermo Pressure messages with Safari, but I have started seeing them scattered through the console in the last few days. Today after Safari finally loaded, I noticed that Mail had disappeared from the Dock. This has happened a few times in the last few months. I created a new admin and using Safari worked fine. When I began to add in keychain to access iCloud, I began to see the keychain error show up again. I am at my wits end, but my fear is if I erase and install, that I will somehow bring back the corrupted files and be in the same mess after doing all the work of start over.

After I booted and had only clicked on the finder, I had 27 of these messages:

5/6/16 11:14:58.000 AM kernel[0]: Sandbox: coreduetd(77) deny(1) file-read-metadata /

5/6/16 11:14:58.000 AM kernel[0]: Sandbox: coreduetd(77) deny(1) file-read-metadata /

Then the kernel messages began with the first apple application and continued through all of the utility apps:

Followed by15 of these

I started Safari and it did not load at once, but while it eventually loaded, these messages appeared:

During the process above,  Mail disappeared from the Dock. I had not opened it yet.

I also have instances in Picabo when I am working on a photo book of clicking on an action to be done and nothing happens as if it had frozen, however, if I click elsewhere on the site, action takes place.  I have not had thermo messages before with Safari.

In Safari extensions, I have 1Password, Translate, WOT, and uBlock enabled. I have Internet plugins enabled but not WebGL.

I also have a bunch the following messages as I work on Picabo and a photo book. I have deleted part of the personal names:

If you haven't done so yet, check the health of the hard drive.

Launch the Disk Utility app located in HD > Applications > Utilities

Select the MacintoshHD on the left then select the First Aid tab then click Run.

If you decide at some point to erase the drive and reinstall OS X, you do not need to do anything for iCloud or keychain.

    For Safari.

You may have a Safari extension or third party plug-in installed that's causing a conflict. It’s easy to troubleshoot.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Uninstall one extension at a time, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

"rogue amoeba" has caused problems for Mac users for years as noted from the results of an Apple Support Communities search here.

Here is my situation so far. My hard drive is ok. It is a 1TB SSD. About half is available.

The only extensions I had active were 1Password. Removed Click to Flash, Evernote, WOT, uBlock. I continue to have lots of error messages.

As for plugins, I have no plugins in the Plugins Folder in Library, even the ones listed that should not be removed. I do not see them. I do not see a Scripting Folder either.I do not see any difference.

I have had Rogue Amoeba for years and had no trouble. I removed them from the startup status. I continue to see fewer error messages. I search the Consol for Spamsieve and did not find it in any reports.

I continue to have error messages:

Something seems to be off, but I cannot find it. I have removed any Adware. Garson keeps showing up. Install, the uninstall. There are so many messages of invalidating something, this or that cannot be found, yada yada.

it may just be a momentary glitch, but that report appears to say your boot disk is not mounted. Unless, maybe it is encrypted?

    Disk Information:

      APPLE SSD SM1024F disk0 : (1 TB)

      EFI (disk0s1) <not mounted>: 209.7 MB

      disk0s2 (disk0s2) <not mounted>: 999.7 GB

      Recovery HD (disk0s3) <not mounted>: 650 MB

Good eye. I have no idea. I bought the computer at the Apple Store.

Any suggestions for what my next step is to figure this out. What are your thoughts on it?

    Thanks

It is not encrypted as far as I know.

well, you must be using it to run etrecheck.

I would just run it again some time and see if it is a false alarm. ?are you using the latest version of etrecheck? there should be an invitation to update inside the program.

I just ran Etre Check on another computer and it said the same thing. Carolyn said to check the Internet Plugins in Library. I see Plugins in the Etre Check, but I do not see any in the User library, unless I am looking at the wrong one.

[EtreCheck] on another computer and it said the same thing.

then that is likely a false alarm.

Thanks for your tip, however. I have been using an old version of Etre Check.
