• Manage your Apple ID:

When I upgraded to a newer OS X some time ago, where I then had access to iCloud (not
in use) I received notice to update the password to a more secure one. So I added some
random numbers and slightly changed the old one, so it works without issue. However I am
generally skeptical about most things that pop-up. Especially involving web browsers, or as
a result of clicking on a searched page result that may not really have what I want, in there.
Sometimes the new password isn't long enough or hasn't enough numbers in between
words or random letters. (Not sure what else, if yours is extra finicky.)

Usually if the password you have isn't considered as secure as it could be, you may be
seeing a notice in other places you'd naturally use it. Not necessarily to login here, ASC.
Not sure what else to say; if you have additional questions, please ask.
Good luck in this matter!
