Q: How do I save as a file instead of print?

Can anyone tell me how I can have an option to save a file instead of printing it?

    You're not hugely clear here.

You have a file open and are ready to close it so you want to save it and the changes made to it or save a copy with the changes leaving the original untouched?

I don't quite understand why you think you only have the option of printing.

When you print you should see a button near the bottom left that says PDF. That's a menu that has a command on it called Save to PDF. If you choose it, it will "print" to a PDF file that will be a document you can store and it's readable on Mac, Windows, smartphones, and tablets.

Just what I was looking for.  The "print to file" option.  Thanks!
