Q: How to get my Pictures from IPhone (Icloud Library) to my Mac (w/o Icloud Library)

So I have activated the Icloud Library on my Iphone and thousands of pictures and many videos are uploaded. I can not get them back on my phone because I have not enough space. I can not connect my Mac to Icloud photo Library because I have 80GB pictures on my Mac for which is not enough space on Icloud and I dont want them there either. I want to store all my pictures on my mac. How can I get the Pictures from the Icloud to my Mac?

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

On your iPhone tap Settings > iCloud then toggle Photos off.

If you don't have enough iCloud storage on your Mac for all your photos, then you either need to delete photos or upgrade your iCloud storage.

if i do that (turn the photo library on my iphone off) it will delete the photos on icloud and they would be lost since there is not enough space on my phone to keep originals.

Download the photos from iCloud Photo Library using the web interface to iCloud.

Open www.icloud.com, sign in with the ApplEID you used for your iCloud Photo Libra, then launch the Photos.app from that web page.

Select the photos in each event and download them to a folder on your Mac- Then import them to your Photos Library. Test, if the downloaded items can be read, then make a backup and delete them from your iPhone.
