Q: huffingtonpost.es/com doesn't load properly in safari (and firefox) but it does in chrome

I have problems loading the huffingtonpost.es and sometimes .com on Safari on my mac and also in Firefox. But the same web in Chrome load perfectly.

It's the only web which I have problems so far and it isn't a extension related problem since I don't have extensions in firefox and the same problem occurs there.

Does anyone have any idea of what is happening? It seems something related with the css.

The really odd thing is... I try to load huffingtonpost.com on safari and doesn't load properly, I reload and reload and doesn't load correctly. Then, I load it in Chrome loads perfectly and after that I try to load in safari (or firefox again) and then loads. :-/ It doesn't happen always, but then it happens drive me nuts.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Make sure your OS X software is up to date.

Click your Apple  top left in your screen.

From the drop down menu click: Software Update

That should launch the App Store.

If you see an update for OS X El Capitan and Safari, install those updates then restart your Mac then try Huffington Post on Safari and Firefox.

Thanks for the help... but everything is totally up to date of course.

    It's nothing related to that.

Hey... thanks for the help, but none of those solutions are applicable.

First, I've tried to use the web without any plugging and or extension and the problem persist. Besides, I also have the problem in firefox where I don't have extensions and also use the safe mode with the same result.

I've cleaned all caches recently too.

The problem is inconsistent, sometimes the web doesn't load all CSS, and other moments doesn't load some images, and sometimes load just fine.

In Chrome it loads fine all the times.

PS/ it seems related to dns.. perhaps, but I really don't know.

    You are welcome.

I'd already checked that settings. I had previously google DNS and when I noticed the problem I deleted them and begun to use the ISP ones. I've changed again, flushed the DNS cache and restarted... no change. The behaviour is the same... it seems that improve just after the flush, but not always.

Sometimes it shows well, then I click in a link and appears wrong again... sometimes is just some images.

And it's only with this page... I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

chrome show it perfectly... what does chrome have that doesn't have the other browsers?

HuffingtonPost.es and .com load fine here on El Capitan v10.11.4 and  Safari 9.1.

Do you have any net monitoring apps installed such as Little Snitch or perhaps Growl that sends on screen notifications? It's usually third party software that prevents websites from loading.

Anti virus software could be a culprit as well.

That site does support Flash. If you have that installed, make sure it's up to date.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player > Updates > Check Now

If nothing above applies, go to your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab then click:  Remove All Website Data. Quit then relaunch Safari and try that site again.

No, I don't have any of those apps, and I don't have even flash installed.

I've also removed all the website data already!

As a test, try installing Flash to see if that helps.

I've been doing some test... The main problem is that Safari, and Firefox, can't access to s.huffpost.com, where the css are stored.

However, Chrome perfectly can connect to the server. And load the css.

I've also tried from other computers from safari and no problem whatsoever.

    Screen Shot 2016-05-14 at 18.38.58.png

And I've also tried from my own own computer to do a ping to s.huffpost.com and it's totally reachable. So the problem isn't in the computer itself or in the system, but in something that affects to safari and firefox.

    ANY IDEAS??

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items.  Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History…. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library./Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db and move it to the trash.
