Q: does the encrypted password have to be case sensitive as I start guessing

So, I am trying to figure out the iTunes iphone encrypted password. Does the password need to be case sensitive as I try my list of passwords.

iPhone SE, iOS 9.3.1

Thank you, the real problem is I do not ever remember checking the encryption box. I assume there is no way around this problem....

The only way to get past the encryption is to delete the backups, and then restore the phone to factory. You will not be able to backup again, nor use the backup while you have it encrypted. See this support document. About encrypted backups in iTunes - Apple Support
