Q: How I can have all my purchase from my Apple accounts when I move from other countries ?

I can’t renew anything that I both in France… 6 years turned to trash, and is really a shamed from Apple to do the accounts separately.

I moved from Chicago to Italy, I lost years of purchase , I moved from Italy to France, I lost years of purchase … Now again …

My music all gone …I can’t renew applications or anything that I already both.

In France they told to call Apple Italy and bought agreed , you are screwed with apple after all .

Then you don’t give me any solution …

I still have accounts in Italy, USA, and France, but I can’t transfer even if I am the owner of the account … Very sad , after all this years is like loose everything again…

I have an IPAD - 2 IPHONEs and MACBOOK PRO....

How I could united all my accounts and stop to lose my purchase ?????

MacBook Pro, iOS 9.3.1

As long as you have your ID - you have your purchases

Now certain apps may not be available in certain countries

But merely moving across geographical zones should not cause you to lose content -

Can you please give us the exact things you are trying to do - on what device and what error messages if any?

This is a well known issue unfortunately. Please see this Apple article:

Change your iTunes Store country or region - Apple Support

    It states:

    • You won't see the items that you purchased from the previous country’s store in your Purchased section.
    • You won’t see the items from your iCloud Music Library that you matched, uploaded, or added from the previous country’s store.

All I can suggest is sending feedback to Apple at this site:   http://www.apple.com/feedback/

    It is a big issue,

I both one year ITUNES MATCH ...

    I am paying my ICLOUD,

    I am paying My MUSIC

and I had several  music which can't be switch , I think is the worst deal I ever had ...

It is all APPLE , when you buy you buy ... is take what is yours alway ... Then it isn't buy ... is rent , right ?

Well - from what I have read - both Apple documents and other conversations on ASC

Once you paid for an app or a piece of music - you can keep it

Even if you change the country

You may not be able to update it if not available in your new country

That is the difference in my mind - eg if I am in Switzerland and I stay there - for apps I am entitled to upgrades literally for life

But if I move to the Philippines and that app is not available there - I can still use my version and restore it from iTunes if I have saved it there - but cannot upgrade or re download if I lose it somehow

Yes, this was what I understood as well. BUT: when I sign for my other country account in ITUNES , they don't let me go in, I want to see my musics and download , for example, because it not do by itself.

It is a message and it goes to Itunes from the country you are.

If I change, I hope mu "Itunes Match " what is already paid for comes as well

My iCloud what I paid for comes as well

    My musics come as well

... Whatever ...I talk with a customer service here and in France and they say what is in France and paid by french credit card stays in the french account ...and the same for the others countries..

And this so true , if you sign for un other country account you can't use your same e-mail, means that can't even be related in this matter.

In my conception this will be  what should be donne... We have one account and we could manage our purchase correctly, because I am in title to go back and forward , right ? Live where I want and be  back if I pleased and have my purchase with me.

And by the years I change the computer, iPad and iPhone , what should be able to do by one only place.

Immagine if I am a person, as I am who work and move a lot... I know other people who does it ....

I really think they should have something united.

This is causing me a lot of "headaches"... ( figurative speaking .

The issue is that you have this false concept that you own something. You don't own anything. Apple owns the software that it develops, as do the millions of 3rd party content providers represented in the iTunes & Mac App Stores. What you pay for is a licensed copy that is licensed to you per the interests of the content owners in the country in which you paid for a license, nowhere else. As long as the 3rd party developers and Apple continue to develop their content you are entitled to redownload additional licensed copies or updated copies. And the system is set up so that if the developer also distributes their content in another country to which you relocate, your are allowed to continue to redownload and update licensed copies using the same Apple ID with which you originally acquired it. But you are not allowed to transfer your licensed content to a different Apple ID and Apple does not combine the content of multiple Apple IDs.

You have also created part of your own problem by creating a new Apple ID every time that you relocated.

All of your media can be accessible to you if you have that media in your iTunes Library. When you change countries, don't set up a new Apple ID, just change the billing and personal address information for your one ID. Keep all of your media downloaded to your computer. If it is in your iTunes library, and you have authorized the computer to your Apple ID, you have full access and use of all of your media by syncing that media to your devices via iTunes.

As ManSinha stated, you cannot update apps that were purchased in an iTunes store from a different country, but you can still use them, use your music, use your movies, tv shows, books, etc.

Keep your media on your computer. You purchased it, but if you do not keep a local copy of it, then there is no guarantee that you can even get it from the same store that you originally purchased it from. Things come and go in the iTunes Stores. If you want access to your purchased media, keep all of it in one iTunes library.

    Cheers,

Not true. As I stated above, the system is set up to allow a user to download and update apps, when using the same Apple ID, if the same apps are also distributed by the developer in the new country. The user goes through the process of buying the app again and in the final steps of the purchase the system realizes that the user has bought the app before and offers to redownload/update it for free.

    You are most welcome!

One other note. If you download your media to your iTunes Library when you purchase it, and if you Authorize that iTunes Library to any Apple ID that made purchases that are in the iTunes Library, you will have access to media purchased under any of your Apple IDs. The important thing to remember is that when you are in a particular country using a particular Apple ID, you need to make sure any media you purchased in that country is downloaded to your iTunes Library before you leave that country. Then, if you choose to use a different Apple ID in a different country, you can do that. Again, just make sure that before you leave that country that you do the same thing - make sure all media is in iTunes on your computer.

My husband and I share an iTunes library. We each have our own Apple ID. The Computer that the iTunes Library is on, is authorized for both his ID and my ID. I can download and use any of his media and he can do the same with mine. The only media that requires me to use his Apple ID/password are Apps, and those only need his info when they are being updated. Everything else (primarily music) is shared between both of us, and we have never had any issues.

So, just wanted to make you aware of that in case you have purchased a lot of stuff on different IDs. Again, until you return to the country where you use that ID, you may not be able to access those purchases, but once back in that country and signed on with the ID that you made the purchases with, you can then download to your Library and start to amass your media in one place.

    Best of luck,

Actually what I said was "You may not be able to update it if not available in your new country"

I believe we were all saying the same thing but Gail has a unique way of boiling it down to the essence that is simplicity itself
