Q: Cannot connect to Outlook email after 9.3.1 update

I cannot connect to Outlook email after 9.3.1 update.

 

"Cannot Get Mail

The connection to the server failed."

 

I've tried to delete the mail account and add it again. Same problem.

 

I know this is a widespread problem now.

 

When this will be addressed?

    Ok check this out.....i followed the instructions on my ipad....and indeed its now working...........AND magically also fixed on my ipad!!! I didnt do anything on the ipad, only on the iphone, but both started working again.

    Hi bran,

     

    I did exactly what you did about 12 hours ago, but it didn't fix the problem.

     

    Then, about 4 hours ago, without any further changes from me, it just started working again.

     

    Lucky me. Hope everyone else has their issue fixed as well!

    I removed the account from my phone.  Reconfigured the account back onto the phone and lowered the amount of days from 1 month to 2 weeks.  That work around seems to be holding for now.

    Reply from bran.195 worked for me and thanks!

    I have been fussing around with iPhone 6S/ipad/and iCloud drive/iCloud syncing for about one month.  Ever since downloading 9.3 things have not worked the same.

    I think it is fixed... hopefully, for now.

    Hi, I had the same problem a few days ago whereby suddenly my iphone would not get any of my hotmail emails anymore.

     

    I followed the advice given earlier (remove the account) restart the phone then try adding the account again.

     

    It basically re-setup my hotmail account on my iphone, and automatically updated to newer 'Host Name' and 'SMTP' servers etc.. (outlook.com)

    It seems to be working fine now.

     

    Hope this helps anyone else who may be having problems
