Q: Windows 7 32 bit and osx support
I am taking over my son's Macbook Pro 13 inch mid 2009. I am currently running on a Macbook white 2007. I would like to keep my current Windows 7 32 bit running under bootcamp. When I looked at Bootcamp, I saw a list of Windows 7 support by hardware platform, but nothing indicated which levels of OSX support the 32 bit Win 7. Is the only dependency on the hardware and all recent levels of OSX will support what the hardware platform supports? I would like to upgrade from the installed Mavericks to Yosemite or El Capitan. Do all of those OSX versions support Win 7 32 bit? Lastly, if I want to do a clean install of one of those OS', can I just download it from the online Apple Store? If not, how do I get the OS? thank you

1. Please see model-specific W7 information in Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .
2. OSX 10.7-10.11 will support W7, but they are independent of each other. Bootcamp/Windows boots your Mac, so there is no concurrent OS X/Windows coexistence.
3. Apple does not sell Windows. If you have a valid product key, the installation media can be found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home .
