Q: Time machine error with back up on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 version

I keep getting the following message when trying to back up The disk image “sparsebundle” is in use.

I have unplugged the time capsule and counted to 10.

I have unabled file sharing in the airport and re-enabled again.

all other devices are switched off.

unfortunately all didn't work.

Does anyone have another advice?

Dear Mike,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have tried to download the older version of Airport utility (as I am using 6.3.5) I understood I need to download version 5.6, however when installing it gives me the error message: "Airport utility can't be installed on this disc. The version of Mac OS X on this volume is not supported."
I am using OS X Yosemite.
Did I miss anything or what did I do wrong?

Please advice.

You didn't miss anything or do anything wrong. That website is getting a bit dated because it's creator has passed away but I hoped there were other steps on that page that you could follow. Have you tried resetting your Time Capsule? Resetting an AirPort base station FAQ - Apple Support
