Q: Are Boot Camp Drivers Model Specific?

Hello,

 

I'm trying to upgrade multiple computers to Windows 10 but first upgrading my computers to the newest OS (10.11.4). My question before I start the Boot Camp process is are Boot Camp Drivers model specific? If I download the drivers from a MacMini5,1 or 6,1 will those same drivers work for a MacbookAir5,2. I've read that different models require different drivers, so different models drivers might not work on other models.

There are Mac-model specific versions of BC6 drivers. The safest method is the use BC Assistant and download the BC6 drivers. BCA does the proper checking to give you the proper drivers.
