Q: Photos for Mac not displaying photos edited on my iPad Air 2 over 7 hours ago

I opened Photos for Mac and went to my All Photos album and photos that I had edited and saved to my iCloud Photos Library on my iPad Air2 this morning (over 7 hours ago) were still not appearing in my All Photos album. I checked my Photos album and some of the images were appearing in the thumbnails there. I clicked on one of them and selected Show in Library and was taken to one of the blank placeholders shown above in my All Photos album. After 7+ hours, my images should be appearing in all of my albums. I do not know what is wrong with Photos or why there is a discrepancy between the Photos album and the All Photos album, but I am using iCloud Photos so that all of my images can allegedly be immediately shared between devices via iCloud Photos. 7+ hours is definitely not immediately. Any ideas what the problem is and how to resolve it?
