Q: More settings in Relay outgoing mail through host

How can I access to more settings for Relay outgoing mail through host?

Somethings like type of authentication (option "allow authentications not sure" is present in settings smtp of app "Mail", but there is not in settings of app Server).

My ISP has smtp with username and password, NO SSL, not sure... but doesn't works in "Relay outgoing mail through host..." of app Server.

Please help me!

Many thanks.

Mac Pro, OS X Server, El Capitan + app "OS X Server"

You can either modify postfix parameters inside:

    /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/main.cf

    (See http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html for details)

or  you can use serveradmin from the command line to set the same parameters.

    For example:

    sudo serveradmin settings mail:postfix:relayhost

will show you your relayhost, while:

    sudo serveradmin settings mail:postfix:relayhost = "my.relayhost.tld"

    will set your relayhost.

    Related parameters are:

    mail:postfix:smtp_auth_relay_dict:smtp_auth_relay_host = "relayhost"
    mail:postfix:smtp_auth_relay_dict:smtp_auth_relay_pwd = "relayuserpassword"
    mail:postfix:smtp_auth_relay_dict:smtp_auth_relay_userid = "relayuser"
    mail:postfix:relayhost_enabled = yes
    mail:postfix:relayhost = "relayhost"

If your relay server only accepts plaintext authentication, the smtp_sasl_security_options parameter in /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/main.cf must be added to overwrite the default value.

To allow plaintext passwords in unencrypted SMTP sessions following line must be added:

    smtp_sasl_security_options = noanonymous

    For further details see http://www.postfix.org/SASL_README.html
