Q: Frozen Safari

Safari on Mylar is frozen. When I try to close the tabs it envokes a pop up email message that says to call a number immediately. When I called the number, it is just a recording of someone talking to Apple support about the same problem.  What do I do?

iPad, iOS 9.3.1

Go to Settings - Safari - Clear History and Website Data.

If this does not help, reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview pane until it disappears from the screen. You may have to look for the Safari pane by scrawling to the left. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
