Q: Notes in El Capitan
My iPad, iPhone and new Macbook Pro (running El Capitan) are all using the same Apple ID. The iPad and iPhone notes all sync perfectly, but since getting the new computer / El Capitan OS, nothing is syncing to my laptop. There is a lot of chatter on the web, but no answers from from Apple... and it's very, very frustrating. What's the use in having ones life built on Apple products, if those products don't sync any longer?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

This procedure will reset the Notes application to its default state, with no content, just as if you had never used it. That's not a problem if all the notes you want to keep are in iCloud.
Please back up all data. Disable Notes synchronization in the iCloud preference pane.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.
Repeat with this line:
~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.notes
Re-enable iCloud Notes and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You may not see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
