Mar 8, 2016 8:42 PM in response to bigdallaby Christys1985,OMG this worked! Thank you so much for your post, I was getting so upset and imagining costs. I think I might of got water in it today when some idiot splashed me from a muddy puddle when driving by. I'm a mail carrier for USPS, and I was po'd! I was soaked in mud water from head to toe and especially all my poor customers mail for that relay. I thought my phone was done for so thank you again for suggesting this. Better end after a bad day ;-)

Apr 9, 2016 8:25 PM in response to DJ67by Befrank123,Simply go into setting then sounds and in your alarm tones just change the tone. It will instantly take out of head phone mode. No need for in and out or compressed air. I've read a few that had lint in there, but as long as it's clean in the hole, just change alarm tones with no ear buds attached. I tried all the other options none worked. But this worked great and quick.

Apr 28, 2016 4:52 PM in response to SoCalSkippyby bazookame, ive just experienced this problem despit the fact that I've never used a headphone on my iPhone 6s! All of a sudden, I couldn't play music through the speakers only to discover that it thinks I've got headphone plugged in even tho it isn't! But how i resolved my issue was to click on 'Airplane mode', then switch it off again and it worked! I think it's a software glitch more so than hardware?!

Apr 30, 2016 4:09 PM in response to bazookameby wakeskater447,So I tried everything and it didn't work. I sucked on the headphone part til i almost passed out lol. I'd suck and it would work for a second and as soon as I stopped sucking it wouldn't. So I got smarter and just used the vacuum and it finally worked!!! thank god!

May 5, 2016 8:55 AM in response to SickSteezleby rpv101,"Inhale into your headphone jack for like 5-10 seconds. And Viola!
This is the only thing that worked for me. "
This helped me... I think somethink got stuck in the headphone jack and when I inhale, it got cleared..

May 14, 2016 4:06 PM in response to SoCalSkippyby bklnpoet,Inserting, removing, and reinserting headphone plug and cleaning the headphone jack didn't help my iPhone; what worked was when I was in Pandora and the iPhone was locked (thanks to screensaver) the speaker volume slide bar appeared, and I was able to restore the volume.

May 15, 2016 4:10 PM in response to SoCalSkippyby yuvi009,If you suspect that water is the reason behind your problem.. Instead of plugging and unplugging your ear phones, you can swirl a piece of paper into very thin one and push it in it headphones hole. Make sure you are using a big piece of paper not very small piece(which might stuck in the headphones hole).. That will remove any wetness in there. This worked for me.

May 16, 2016 5:19 AM in response to SoCalSkippyby Stahlherz,I did all these fixes, and they were good advice for others, but they didn't work for me. What I did was I left my headphones in overnight (i plugged the phone in) while my Alarm Clock app was running, hoping I'd hear the buzzer through my headphones. I did, and when I took them out, the speaker worked again.
