May 15, 2016 8:38 AM in response to RockstarKBby lllaass,Neither the 5G or 6G have an ambient light sensor. See the manual
http://help.apple.com/ipod-touch/9/#/iph3dd6274a
This was discussed a lot when the 5G was introduced since it did not have one.
The spec for the 6G
https://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/specs/
does not list an ambient light sensor
The spec for the 4G
iPod touch (4th generation) - Technical Specifications
does
What documentation do you have that says the5G or 6G have an ambient light sensor?
A generic Apple article that you referenced is not sufficient.
since it included this "If your iOS device has an ambient-light sensor,".
