Q: My Ipad shuts down after I stop using it and I have to press both buttons to get it to come back on every time?

When my ipad 2 has unused for a few minutes it goes into shutdown mode and I have to press and hold both buttons to get it turned back on! It works fine as long as the cover is off!

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.4

    I was sort of wondering how you were coming along ....

     

    I think that would be the next thing that I would try, restore as new. You can always restore from the backup later if everything goes right. If that still doesn't fix it, then it's time to take the iPad to an Apple Store and ask for help there.
