May 16, 2016 6:28 AM in response to firstconnby dialabrain,FWIW, a .mov file is just a wrapper. Whether it plays in QuickTime Player depends on the codec used to encode. VLC will play some .mov files that QTP won't. However, any .mov file using XVID won't play on OSX because there i no XVID codec for QuickTime.
The Adapter conversion program will convert many formats to a form QuickTime can play including those encoded with XVID.
