Q: Why can't I turn encryption off without the password I no longer remember

All backup have been deleted I would like to set a new password because I can't remember the old password why are you asking me for a password to unlock encryption that no longer exists. FAIL!

Apple do you seriously expect people to remember their passwords 100% of the time.

    For security reason:

If security is not your concern then don't use encrypted backups

(Note: If you are connected to a company, they can enforce that encryption must be use)

If you cannot remember your password, you can still do backups but to restore you must have the password.

There's no backdoor or other options if you don't remember the password (you should write it down and keep it in a safe place),

Your only option is restore the iPhone as new. (Deleting all data)

What's the point of encryption, if I can simply make a restore without it?
