Q: How to get an ipod shuffle to work on the usb port for the car's stereo

Thanks for your question.   Does your car have an auxiliary outlet?   If so, the iPod shuffle could play through it.  Check the owner's manual for your vehicle to see what kind of devices can play through the sound system, and check to see if there are any driver updates.

If you're using USB Playback

Restart your device and your car. 
Connect your device to a different stereo USB port (if you have one).
Try a different USB cable.
Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.

If you can't play audio from an Apple device, contact Apple Support.
