Q: Issue with Location Services
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)
OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.4 (15E65)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
When I go to the Maps app and click on current location I get the message “Maps cannot locate the current position”. Also when I slide over the notification bar the local weather is not finding local weather.
I have ensured Enable Location Services is checked under Security & Privacy Preferences. I have signed out of iCloud and unchecked the Enable Location Servies and rechecked it.
The only time I can get them to work is if I go into Activity Monitor and force quit the following processes
com.apple.geod (923)
locationd (919)
This will usually get the weather to work and show the current location but it only works sometimes in maps.
I have ensured the date and time is correct and it is synced with time.apple.com
When I go to the time zone under Date & Time it shows the closest city to me marked with a blue dot and if I hover over it it says “Unable to determine current location at this time.
I have had this issue since upgrading from Yosemite to El Capitan.
I would also like to add that in my home I have an iPhone 6s Plus, two iPhone 5s's, an iPad Air (Wi-Fi only), and two iPad Air 2's (Wi-Fi only) that have no issues with location services.

I have this same issue. No word from Apple on how to fix this?
