May 17, 2016 11:59 PM in response to dawnpsby LACAllen,Assuming you have no duplication between libraries...
You can export all your photos from Photos by selecting all hptos in the library, go to FILE > EXPORT > Export xx Unmodified Original...
Pick a place to send them,. and then import them as you normally do to iPhoto.
Not sure I understand your question about your phone. You will have no ability to sync iPhoto with your phone as you can with Photos.

May 18, 2016 12:11 AM in response to D.Cohenby Georg Portenkirchner,Go to Photos for Mac, mark all photos, go to Export under the Files menu and export them to a folder on your Desktop.
Open iPhoto and choose import under the File menu bar and import all the photos from the folder.
From now on only import new photos with iPhoto not with Photos for Mac.
I am not sure if iPhoto still supports syncing photos with iCloud, so you better import them via USB.
Be sure to turn off the automatic launch of Photos for Mac when an iPhone is connected.

May 18, 2016 12:26 AM in response to dawnpsby Terence Devlin,How can I efficiently transfer all images from Photo to iPhoto
There is only one way: Export from Photos to the Finder, import from there to iPhoto. Doing this means you risk dataloss. You will need to choose between your original photos and versions you have edited (or have duplicates in iPhoto).
However, I cannot advise you against doing this enough. iPhoto is a dead end. It is no longer developed. You cannot even order print products from t these days. Sooner or later a version of the OS will come along that iPhoto will not even run on. So, moving back to iPhoto is simply storing up an issue for the future.
That said, if you dislike Photos, don't use that either. There are other apps out there, depending on what you want to do exactly. None of the good ones are free, but some are inexpensive, but at least they have a future. Have a think about what your requirements are and someone here might be able to advise you.
will my iPhone Photo automatically with the internet connection deliver the pictures to iphoto
No, not unless you set up Photo Streams and disable the iCloud Photo Library.

May 18, 2016 7:03 AM in response to dawnpsby LarryHN,I know his is not what you what to hear but the fact is iPhoto is DEAD and already is unable to order print products - and some day you will do an update and it will not work at all and you will have a real mess on your hands
If you hate Photos it is because you have not taken time to learn it - it is not iPhoto '12 - it is a new program and has a learning curve but once you learn it it is better, has better editing, more features, is faster and more reliable that iPhoto - and most importantly is supported so has a future - what you use is certainly your choice but I suggest you are making a very short sighted decision which will cause major problems for you in the future when iPhoto is totally killed and you are force to to and emergency change of programs - whether you change to Photos, LightRoom or other program it would would be very smart to do it now rather that after iPhoto quits working

Hmmm, bit of a stretch there Larry . It's perfectly possible to understand and know how to use an app and still dislike it.... I've quite a few in that category myself.

May 18, 2016 11:08 AM in response to Terence Devlinby LarryHN,Dislike - probably
- prefer different software - probably
Hate not really -
and probably not nearly as much as they are going to hate everything the morning they find that the latest update killed iPhoto and they now have no alternative and possibly no upgrade path - like the people who never updated past iPhoto '09 and lost the ability to even delay the transition to Photos because they missed their window to upgrade or to have a working version of iPhoto to repair their library so it would upgrade to Photos
Lots and lots of people have moved form hating Photos to loving it once they learned it - even before it was improved to be much better than iPhoto - and in any case staying with iPhoto is no longer a real alternative unless one totally quits updating their OS forever - the day that the next update kills it gets closer every day
