Q: iTunes not syncing all of my photos iOS 9.3.1

I have 4 folders of photos, total 610 photos.

When I try to sync them to my iPhone 6s (iOS 9.3.1) iTunes (12.3.3.17) syncs only 155 of 610 photos !!!

Tryed deleting photos cache, restored iPhone, even formated my MacBook Pro (clean install El Capitan)

still the same problem!!!!

Tryed syncing with photos.app, still the same result !!!!

Never had this problem before !!!!!

Submited feedback to apple...NO response!!!

Thank u apple,

Update iTunes as well!  That should solve the issue.

Anyone here have an iPad Pro 9.7"? I have both and with the brick going around I will wait before updating. Do not want to end up with another problem http://www.macrumors.com/2016/05/16/ios-9-3-2-bricking-some-9-7-ipad-pros/

I have the 9.7" Pro so don't want to upgrade iOS (they've removed the latest now anyway). However, I have upgraded iTunes. There is some improvement but things are still not fixed.

Whereas before, if iTunes came across a photo that it didn't like it would cease syncing all other photos, now, it simply skips the photos it doesn't like but does sync the others. No message of any kind, they're simply skipped. I've no idea what it doesn't like about these particular photos. I took one, resized it in Preview - in case the 3+MB size was an issue - and saved it back again, but iTunes still wouldn't copy it to my iPhone or iPad. If it's good enough for Preview and OSX, it should be good enough to sync.

Very old issue, and it is still present in latest IOS and Sierra. If you try to sync about 10-20 folders with around 5-10K images, it does so well on the first sync. But God forbid you change some images in the folders, or decide to re-sync from another Mac - it all goes awry with 99% probability. Folders are stuck on IOS device, not deleted on sync, new folders supposed to sync are not appearing on the IOS device, while iTunes reports the sync as finished. The only workaround is complete reset (restore) of the iOS device together with deleting the ipod photo cache folder. This is very irritating, and Apple pays zero attention to this issue. I agree, not everyone is syncing over 1,000 images in various folders from their Macs to their IOS devices, but still. It is a shame, Apple!

    SOLVED!

I was having this same issue in Windows 10 and iTunes 12.5.1.21 also.  I have over 5000 photos that I wanted to sync, but only around 1000 would ever copy.  I discovered a bunch of movies in the windows folder and moved them to their own folder leaving only photos in the folder that I wanted to sync.  It worked!  So sort your folder(s) by file type and move movies to another location and try again.  Hopefully you will have good luck also.
