Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all your devices - Apple Support
- Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- Click on the device icon in iTunes.
- Click Photos.
- Deselect "Sync Photos" then click "Remove photos."
- Click Apply.
If the photos are in the camera roll you can delete them via the trash can icon. You can also select a number of photos at once and them delete them. Select one photo using the select button in the upper right, then swipe your finger across a row of photos and then up the side of the photos (in thumbnail view) in order to select a bunch at a time. Then tap the trash can. Those photos will go into the Recently Deleted album for 30 days so if you want to get rid of them right away, go into the Recently Deleted album, Tap Select and then Delete All.
IF the photos are in the iCloud Photo library and you delete them on the device, they are deleted everywhere on every device using iCPL.
