Q: Imovies not saving

Hi folks

Seems to be lots posted about imovies. I have two versions of imovies in my applications, the older one with library footage and previous imovies is where I have been doing projects most recently (9.0 and the newer version is 10.0.9).

My problem is for some reason, after four attempts my new projects don't seem to be saving, why is this? Can anyone help, it's been four hours wasted. I know we all have this from time to time, but I am rushing to do a birthday film for my daughter and time is now running out!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these issues with iMovie on your MacBook. I'm a bit unclear on exactly which version of iMovie you are having this issue or what version of OS X you are running, but if you are trying to transition from iMovie 9 to iMovie 10 (2014), you may find the information and steps outlined in the following articles helpful:

You may also want to double check that you are creating the new projects as outlined here:
