I have recently seperated but my iPhone and my iPad are registered to my ex husbands email address as that is what was used to set the Apple ID. Is it possible to change it so we are not connected with that email and Apple ID. more

Also, sign out in Settings>FaceTime, Settings>iMessages and Settings>iTunes & App Store. Then, in Settings>iCloud, you can create your own Apple ID.

You will want to sign out of that Apple ID/Email in the following locations
Settings>iCloud
Settings>iTunes & App Store
[and if you are even signed in on these]
Settings>Facetime
Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
Settings>Game Center
Afterwards,
You can create your own Apple ID by following this article below. You will want to have an available email address to use, or you can create an @icloud.com email as your account to begin with. If you want to go with that option, go to Settings>iCloud after you are signed out of the old account, and you will see an option towards the bottom to get a free account.

[Please Note: any past purchases or downloads that were linked to the account you both shared will still be tethered to that old account. If you want a clean/fresh start, you can delete any music or apps you may already have installed on your phone. All up to you on that one]
