May 19, 2016 10:13 PM in response to autumnrene97by gail from maine,When you purchased this Mac from your school, was it a new Mac, or one that the school was selling? If it was one that the school was selling, was it wiped clean and delivered with only the OS X and core apps on it?
If it was new, follow the troubleshooting steps that I linked to see if you can get it working.
Best of luck,
