And yes, at least in my experience, Adobe sends out updates at a pace that puts Apple to shame.... They annoy me so much that I click on the Not Now pretty much all the time out of spite....

Instead of following those prompts, you should just install the latest using:
- For Flash Player -> https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
- For Shockwave -> https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
- For Acrobat Reader -> https://get.adobe.com/reader/

I was asking if you were typing in your Mac Admin User password as opposed to your Apple ID password (not your Apple ID). You need to type the Mac Admin User password, not the Apple ID one
