Q: Safari bookmark folder disappeared
OS: Yosemite 10.10.5
Safari V9.1.1
I had a folder in my bookmarks called Popular. It was visible on the bookmarks bar at the top of the window.
It contained all my working bookmarks.
I just noticed it has disappeared and does not show up when I open 'Edit Bookmarks'
Obviously I want to find it again.
I read some older threads about bookmarks disappearing but although I can find the bookmarks.plist file it looks like my missing folder is not in there.
Any help to find if it is still somewhere much appreciated. I not think I have a Time Machine backup unless there is some auto backup??
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Hello oldsailquik,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I see from your post that it appears a bookmarks folder on your computer has been deleted by accident. If you do not have any backup, then you can still try and recover the bookmarks, as long as you have been using them with iCloud.
Restore your Safari bookmarks and reading list
Go to Settings on iCloud.com, then click Restore Bookmarks (in the Advanced section).
Available versions are listed by the date and time they were archived.
To the right of the version you want to restore, click Restore.
There may be more versions than can be shown at once. Scroll to see more.
Note: Wait until iCloud finishes restoring your Safari bookmarks and reading list before you change them. While they’re being restored, any changes you make aren’t saved.
The restored bookmarks and reading list appear on all your devices set up for iCloud Safari.
iCloud: Restore your contacts, calendars and reminders, or bookmarks
Have a good one.
