Q: Cannot log into iCloud on 2nd User Name

I keep two user names on my mac.  One for work, one personal.  iCloud is only working on one user name now.  When I go to System to sign into iCloud, it just keeps on spinning.  Because of this, every time I boot in, I get a message about iPhotos not syncing. Consequently, neither do my contacts, Keychain Acces, etc.

I've tried doing Permissions repair as researched on another discussion thread, but get no resolution.  Has anyone had this problem and was able to fix it?

    Might be a corrupt .plist.

Do a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

    Quit the application.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist.  Move the .plist to your desktop.

Restart the computer, open the application, and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.

If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Thanks to leonie for some information contained in this.

Unfortunately, this did not work either. Perhaps I should create a new username and migrate all my files over to the new one once I verify that I can sign into iCloud. This may save me a lot more time and frustration!
