iPod

Q: Do not know id or password- stuck at activation screen

Purchased new over 1yr ago, old friend did original set up. Just got it back, but do not know the ID and password. Created my own Apple account, but do not know how to change my new acct to that iPod. 5th gen touch.

Ask the friend to follow these instructions, or take it and its purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.
