iMac Mid 2011.
I'm seeing the exact same issue with the 2016-003 security update. Makes no difference what you try, the update continues to report that it's uninstallable or corrupt.

May 17, 2016 7:03 AM in response to Tardis TL 7by micpoc,So it is not just me. On top of it all, I now find that I am unable to open Logic Pro X.
So, I can't open Opera, Chrome, or Vivaldi web browsers… I am unable to use my external monitor… and I am unable to open Logic Pro X. This update pretty much killed the usefulness of my computer.

May 17, 2016 3:55 PM in response to micpocby sberman,★HelpfulThere is a Mavericks version of this security update, and there is a Yosemite version (different!):
Download Security Update 2016-003 Yosemite
For those of us (including myself) who are current with OS X (running El Capitan OS X 10.11.4 until the 10.11.5 update was released), this security update is included with OS X 10.11.5. It is not a separate update.

May 17, 2016 2:47 PM in response to sbermanby micpoc,Thank you for the information, sberman; much appreciated.
Unfortunately, this installation is having the same problem: I mount it, begin the Install process, click Restart when it appears… and then, my screen dims to black with no activity going on whatsoever, i.e., no progress bar indicating the installation process is proceeding the way that it is supposed to, as it always has before with security updates. I left it that way for fifteen minutes before shutting down the computer and rebooting. Same thing as yesterday, despite having restored my MBP to a pre-update state.
Apparently, whatever happened with the App Store installation has seriously messed something up on my computer. I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone else who can assist with this. If I need to post the problem in a different forum now, please let me know.
