Feb 21, 2016 3:21 PM in response to sfrenchby Linc Davis,Notes will not sync via iTunes. You need to use either iCloud or some other IMAP mail service. To use iCloud, open the iCloud preference pane and sign in, then check the box marked Notes. Do the equivalent on the phone.

May 21, 2016 7:17 AM in response to sfrenchby sfrench,Many thanks to both of you, Linc and Eric.
As it turns out, Notes is already set to sync via iCloud on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro, and I always keep my iOS as current as possible (right now I'm running 9.3.2).
If any other ideas occur to you (or anyone else reading this), please do reply.
Thanks, again!

May 21, 2016 5:32 PM in response to sfrenchby Eric Root,You are welcome. In Notes, have you selected upgrade iCloud Notes on both the computer and the iPhone?
Try going to iCloud.com to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/iCloud and do the above. You can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.
