Q: HDMI connection doesn't work with new ios 9.3.2 upgrade

I upgraded my IOS to the newest version and now when I try to connect my phone to my projector through the HDMI adapter, it doesn't work. When I first did it, it worked and lasted a good 2 min before it stopped working and never worked since. Is anyone having the same problems? Hopefully there is a fix for this because I need this to work soon!

    Hi there FliGuy86,

It sounds like you are unable to see anything from your phone through your HDMI adapter connected to your projector. I would start by quitting the Settings app and the app(s) you are trying to see through the projector:

Force an app to close in iOS

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists then I would use these steps from the following article about troubleshooting AV adapters:

About Apple Digital AV Adapters for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    1. Disconnect and reconnect your adapter from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and from your TV, monitor, or projector.
    2. Make sure that your VGA or HDMI cable works, since the issue could be with the cable.
    3. Remove any VGA or HDMI extension cables or converters. Accessories that convert a VGA or HDMI signals to different video formats (DVI, Composite, Component) aren't compatible.
    4. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
    5. Contact Apple Support.
