What happens when you try to update or restore via iTunes? Something has to occur. Can you describe what happens? You can try the troubleshooting steps in this support document. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

May 22, 2016 12:57 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by amholtgrefe,It keeps restarting the download. It says it is currently downloading software, then it starts the process over again. I don't think it's an internet connectivity issue, but it may be. The 2.28 GB download says it will take near 7-8 hours.

their Internet connection or go to a business (many cafes & restaurants offer wifi)
with free wifi and try again. if there is an Apple store nearby, go there and use that
wifi which will be reliable and fast.
