Q: iMac shuts self off in sleep mode

May 22, 2016 12:41 PMby vegetiger,Here's what solved it for me; my iMac had started shutting down or logging me out during sleep several weeks ago:
Go into System Preferences
Click on Security & Privacy
Unlock to click Advanced
Click Privacy
Uncheck “Log out after __ minutes of activity,”
Then “OK”
If that wasn’t checked, then your problem is somewhere else. And I'd searched and tried all sorts of expert advice, but nothing had worked.
