Q: Master/Replica Partial Sync Issue

Hi,

I've got an OD infrastructure set up over a few sites.  One master and a number of replicas sync without an issue, however, some replicas are only syncing new users and won't sync old users over, even if the older users are changed/manipulated.

This is a bit of an issue as all of the sites need to be aware of all of the users.

Destroying the LDAP server and re-creating it doesn't force a sync of all the users.

How can a full sync be forced so that all of the user details sync across all of the replicas?

TIA

Stu

Only 'local network users' are replicated. Are the users that are not syncing simple 'local users' by any chance? If so, the fix is to convert them to 'local network users'

If you re-read the original post, you'll see that there are already some replicas that sync fine.... Local/Local Network User confusion isn't the case here, I'm afraid...

My bad, I misread your post to mean that you had a master+replicas at each site. Anyway, I'd try destroying a replica, reconstruct it and look carefully at the system logs covering the process.

P.S. FWIW, I have never had much success trying to 'fix' broken OD setups. I never trust them once they've gone bad so I usually just nuke 'em and rebuild.
