May 22, 2016 6:13 PM in response to Peter Anderson5by patricknew,IM having the exact same issue with my late 2013 Mac book pro running 10.11.5 And running tv os 9.2.1. airplay worked fine on both my mac book pro and iPhone prior to the updates last week. Now, I can AirPlay from my iPhone but the Mac book pro says the code is wrong. I've tried enabling the code on the ATV, still wrong pass code error on the Mac book pro. Extremely frustrating.

I wonder if rhe OS X update has corrupted the AirPlay settings on your MBP. Can you see if they make sense? Maybe disable, restart, and re-enable. As others have already said, this behavior makes no sense. Were you running 10.11.4 before the update, or did you skip an update?

Jul 27, 2016 10:16 AM in response to Diana.McCallby Chesmydog ,Did you ever resolve your issue? I posted a similar question here: Airplay not consistently working on MacBook Pro to Apple TV I have been working with Apple Support for a week and we have tried everything to no avail. I can airplay with all my devices (IPAD, IPhone) and with other User IDs on my MACBook Air which is very bizarre. The error that I receive using one of my two admin IDs is the same...asking for the passcode even though it is not enabled on my ATV. Even though I correctly enter it I still cannot connect but have no problem on the other IDs. After going through, I think, eight Apple support advisors, I was asked yesterday to create and email error logs for engineering. I hope they can figure it out because this is so strange.
