May 23, 2016 9:02 AM in response to MattiaEleftheriouby OGELTHORPE,★HelpfulIf available, try another charger.
You can run an Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics (depending upon the specific MBP) and that might offer a clue.
Ciao.

May 23, 2016 9:09 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby MattiaEleftheriou,I will try, thank you but i think i have to pay 89€ and buy a new one, this thing is awful, apple has some big problems with this kind of cables (iphone 5 before, macbooks now) and i'm pretty tired about that. after 2 years(when warranty ends) you have to change them, this is very bad.

May 23, 2016 9:17 AM in response to MattiaEleftheriouby Allan Eckert,I have yet to replace any of my cables or chargers for any of my iPhones. This is after using the oldest one for over six years. I have no idea why you are finding so much trouble with them but I am here to say that your experience is the exception rather then the rule.

NotebooksI suspect the older ones are the better ones. They certainly seem to be made cheaper these days, to cut cost I suspect.
I certainly am aware and careful how I handle my cords, however I have had both iPhone cables, and magsafe charger cables and connectors fail with no abuse, just normal everyday use!
YMMV

May 23, 2016 11:19 AM in response to Allan Eckertby MattiaEleftheriou,Sorry, but how can you have them for that long?, i've changed almost 5 times my lightening iphone 5 cable(i hope it will not happen again with my iphone 6s) and now this one with my macbook, normal usage, no stress, nothing in particular, i keep them fine, not next to doors, tables or chairs, what i have to do? Put them in a strongbox? Anyway, i've been to apple store, no way of let it work (of course, 89€ and a new one) Thank you apple

Never buy the Apple iOS replacement cable. 3rd party cables are much better for the same price, most with lifetime guarantees.
Many choices here are ex.
