Q: how do I stream from my macbook air to samsung smart TV?

I've downloaded a movies in i-tunes & want to watch it on my samsung smart TV, have tried transferring to a hard drive but it won't work on the TV, and have just a chrome cast but that still doesn't work

Hello there Sarahs102,

It sounds like you are looking to watch a movie you have on your Macbook Air on your TV. You would need to have either one of two things. Either an Apple TV which would use AirPlay to stream the movie to your television:

Use AirPlay to display video from your Mac on an HDTV
http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-tv/apple-tv

Or an AV adapter from your computer to your tv to view whats on your computer on your TV:

Moshi Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (4K)
