May 23, 2016 8:40 PM in response to Burnamann7by Niel,Buy an iLife 11 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay; if desired, you can get iMovie and GarageBand from the Mac App Store.

May 24, 2016 12:08 AM in response to Burnamann7by léonie,Is there a way that I can update from iLife 09 to iLife 11 on my 2010 Im
That will depend on the system you are running and the iLife apps you want to use.
If you are running El Capitan on the Mac, you cannot update the iPhoto '11 version on the DVD beyond iPhoto 9.4.3, and that will not run on any system newer than Mt. Lion.
The iLife '11 DVD has neither iWeb nor iDVD. Keep your older versions installed.

May 24, 2016 3:02 AM in response to Burnamann7by GeeD,I'm assuming that you are an iMovie user....... Before spending money on an iLife '11 DVD be aware that users of iMovie 9 with El Capitan have reported numerous problems with this combination. I think you may find it better in the long run to buy iMovie 10.1.2 from the App Store. iMovie 10 is very different - extract from my user tip below:
Updating to iMovie 10 is a significant step because it is a complete re-write of iMovie and the user interface has changed greatly. Some capabilities have been dropped and other new ones introduced. It is therefore not just a matter of updating events and projects from earlier versions
[see: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov902ad0c31]
but is also important to become familiar with the capabilities and limitations of the new version. Apart from the help menu, the help files are also available at http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/
Supported cameras are listed at: iMovie supported cameras - Apple Support
Updating events and projects creates a new storage system - an iMovie library and leaves the imovie projects and imovie events folders used by earlier versions in place where they can still be used by these earlier versions.
